Physiotherapy

TFH Kinesiology is a system of natural health care which combines muscle monitoring with the principles of Chinese medicine to assess energy and body function. It applies a range of gentle yet effective techniques to enhance health, well-being and vitality.

Since 1974, Touch For Health has been taught in over 55 countries and has positively affected millions of people worldwide.

In 1990, Dr. John Thie, D.C., the founder of TFH made the International Kinesiology College (IKC) the custodian for the Touch For Health Synthesis and its faculty the administrators for its teaching internationally.

Using muscle monitoring, TFH Kinesiology addresses the structural, nutritional and emotional stresses common in our everyday life to create balance within the meridian system of the body.

The practitioner uses ‘muscle-feedback’ from the client to evaluate stress levels in a variety of areas. The client usually remains lying down for the duration of the treatment. The muscle being tested acts like an indicator switch to show the kinesiologist when there is a change in the clients body state.

Muscle testing can be used to evaluate a person’s overall health, through varied techniques the practitioner can evaluate the nervous, lymphatic and vascular systems of a client.

The process is completely led by the client, as it is their body and their muscle test which tells the practitioner what is the priority problem to be dealt with, and the best way to stimulate the body’s natural healing ability, by balancing the body as a whole - physical, mental, emotional and nutritional.
